Join the Marie Curie Legacy Campaign!
To celebrate the legacy Marie Curie left us with her work, the ECF is launching a video contest, to engage every one of us – healthcare professionals, patients, families and friends, carers, scientists… – and tell our story about the inheritance this exceptional woman left us: the Marie Curie 150 Creative Challenge.
To participate in the Marie Curie 150 Creative Video Challenge, create a video promoting the message: radiotherapy cures cancer!
Be creative! We do not need any fancy video: Marie Curie left to the world a tremendous legacy, that is helping us every day to help patients. With this video, let us know your story and enrich Marie Curie legacy to radiotherapy with your own video.
Your video will make a difference: help the community to know more about the benefits of radiation therapy, helping more than a million of patients every year.
The winners of the challenge will be announced during the 2018 ESTRO congress, the largest European radiation oncology conference in Europe.
Members of the ECF team panel will judge all eligible submissions posted on our website and will select up to 5 videos as finalists.
The ECF panel will evaluate videos based on the following factors:

The submitted videos will be presented to the public to vote for their favourite video using Social Media Channels of ECF. The person/group submitting the video that receives the most votes will win the The winner will have a chance to have their video prominently displayed on the Social Media Profiles of ECF. The video will also be used to promote the ECF mission in its upcoming media campaign.
The contents is officially launched on the 7th of November, 11:59 p.m. CET. The deadline for video submissions is February 28, 2018, 11:59 p.m. CET. The Winning Video will be announced during early March 2018.
Tell your friends! After your video submission and once the video has been screened by ECF Panel to ensure that it complies with the contest rules, the video will appear online on the group page for public viewing. Once the top videos have been identified by the jury, you and other members of the public will be able to rate these videos based on the same criteria used by the ECF judging panel.
The person or group submitting the winning video will win €1,500.00. The best video will be prominently displayed on the ECF website and its Social Media profiles and offered to program partners for display on their websites. The video will be used as well to promote the ECF Media Campaign.
The ECF evaluation panel of the 2017 group will announce the winner on the ECF website and post the winner’s name, city, and country on the ECF website and other ECF information channels. Information collected will be governed by the Privacy Act in force in Belgium. The winners will be notified via e-mail and phone within approximately seven (7) business days of selection. The winner will be asked to sign a video release form. If we cannot contact the winning person, or do not receive this form within 10 days of our initial contact attempt, the winner will forfeit the prize, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate contestant.
